Charlottesville DESIGN MARATHON!
On Friday October 10, the CCDC will host Charlottesville's first design marathon. Teams of local designers and students will provide design services ranging from branding to site planning for ten local non-profit organizations - free of charge! Non-profits will be chosen based on their needs, project type, and potential community impact, among other criteria. The marathon will be followed by a November CCDC exhibition of the designs produced throughout the day. To download an application or learn more about the event, click here!

 Exhibit | Virginia Go Green Competition - In September CCDC showcases the winners of the James River Green Building Council's 2008 Virginia Go Green Competition. The JRGBC held its third Virginia Go Green Competition in spring of 2008. The program was created to highlight design that supports the principles of sustainability in central Virginia. The competition honors both built and unbuilt projects that illustrate regional efforts to integrate environmentally responsible design methods and materials into the built environment. The 2008 winners will be on display in the CCDC gallery through the month of September. Please join us for an opening reception on Friday, September 5 from 6-9 pm.
