Creating and preserving affordable housing for a wide variety of family types and income levels is a critical need for communities across the country. URBAN
HABITATS DESIGN COMPETITION - CCDC
has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville to produce a
design competition for the redevelopment of the Habitat-owned Sunrise Trailer
Court in Charlottesville. To date, over 400 architectural teams from across the
world have registered to submit designs for the competition. Please visit the

MODULAR
PILOT PROGRAM - To
raise the production and quality of affordable, sustainable residential units, Piedmont Housing Alliance (PHA)
and CCDC began a Modular Pilot Program to construct three modular
houses in the 10th & Page Street Neighborhood. The program builds on the
lessons of the Energy Star(R) houses built by PHA in the 10th & Page Street
Neighborhood. It will further the selective and efficient use of energy and
materials, from unit construction to occupancy. >>read more
10TH & PAGE REVITALIZATION Prior to founding CCDC, Katie Swenson worked for three years at the Piedmont Housing Alliance through the Frederick P. Rose Architectural Fellowship. Katie’s main project during her fellowship was the design and construction of 30 Energy Star qualified homes in the 10th & Page Street neighborhood in Charlottesville.
